service 01 — websites

a site that loads fast, reads clean, and sounds like you.

we design and hand-build every site from a blank file — no theme, no page builder, no plugin stack to babysit. it loads in under two seconds, works on a phone first, and you own every line of it.

most small business sites lose the visitor in the first four seconds.

what you get

everything, hand-built.

six things ship with every site. no tiers, no upsell to unlock the basics.

01

design drawn from scratch

two directions to react to, then one we refine together. your layout is drawn around your business, not poured into a template someone else is also using.

02

hand-coded build

html, css, and javascript written by us. nothing to update every tuesday, nothing that breaks when a plugin author disappears.

03

mobile first, genuinely

over three quarters of your visitors arrive on a phone. we design that screen first and scale up, instead of shrinking a desktop layout and hoping.

04

speed you can measure

images compressed, fonts subset, scripts kept lean. we hand over the before-and-after core web vitals scores so it isn't a claim you have to trust.

05

seo foundations

clean heading structure, real page titles and descriptions, schema markup, sitemap, and https — the groundwork google needs before ranking is even possible.

06

copy that sounds like you

we interview you, then write the page in your voice. if a sentence reads like it came from a marketing agency, it gets cut.

the process

four weeks, four steps.

short, scheduled, and you always know what's next.

1

we talk first

a call about your customers, what you sell, and what the site actually has to accomplish. we come out of it with a sitemap and a plan you've signed off on.

week 1
2

design in the open

two homepage directions, then the inside pages. you see real work in a browser, not a flat mockup, and you comment directly on it.

week 1–2
3

we build it

the approved design becomes real code. copy goes in, images get optimized, and we test on actual phones and tablets — not just a resized window.

week 2–4
4

launch and hand over

we point the domain, submit the sitemap, and walk you through editing your own content. then we're around for 30 days of free tweaks.

questions

the things everybody asks.

do i own the site when it's done?

yes — completely. the code, the domain, and the hosting account are all in your name. if you ever want to move to another studio, you send them a zip file and they can pick it up. we don't hold anything hostage.

why not wordpress or squarespace?

for a five-page small business site, a platform mostly adds weight: plugin updates, monthly fees, and a load time you can't fully control. hand-coded is faster, cheaper to host, and there's nothing to break on its own. if you need a blog you'll post to weekly or a full store, we'll say so and recommend the right platform instead.

can i update the text myself?

yes. we walk you through it on the handoff call and leave you a short written guide for the parts you'll touch most — hours, prices, services, photos. anything bigger, send it over and we'll handle it.

how do you price a site?

one fixed number for the whole project, agreed before we start. what moves it is how many pages you need and whether we're also shooting the photography or writing the copy from scratch. no hourly billing, and no invoice that arrives bigger than the quote — if the scope changes mid-project we re-quote it with you first.

how fast can it go live?

three to five weeks is typical, and the pace is mostly set by how quickly you get us content and feedback. if you have a hard date — a grand opening, a trade show — tell us up front and we'll plan the schedule backward from it.

ready for a site that pulls its weight?

tell us about your business and we'll come back with a plan, a price, and a timeline. no pitch deck, no pressure.
